Where are you?

We had a WhatsApp message from Gary Coombes today. Gary's the team principal for team ARD. Kate's racing for them in the Buckmore Park 24 hour and the Le Mans 24 hour (kart not car!). And Gary wondered why Kate wasn't racing in the first round of the Bayford championship today.

Well, Gary's WhatsApp message found its way, courtesy of Tim Berners-Lee's infrastructure, from Sittingbourne in Kent to Circuito El Cossil in Southern Spain.
Kate wasn't in Kent because she was in Spain racing on two wheels, not four wheels. And she's going to be here all week.
And Kate was having a blast today. Beautiful weather. Blue skies. And temperature in the low 20s. When Gary realised where we were, he sent an ice emoji with the simple message "so cold". And I know exactly how he feels. Practically every kart practice we've done over the last couple of months has been on rain or ice, with temperatures often sub zero.

But this week, Kate's enjoying the sunshine. It's still fast scarey stuff. But it's different from the karting, and it's exercising a different set of muscles and a different set of brain cells. When she gets back to karting next week, she's going to be a race-tuned monster, firing on all cylinders.
Where are we? We're in Spain, fine tuning Kate's Motorsport fearlessness, and having a blast in the warm sunshine too.
Now, that’s what you call warm weather training! 🫶
