Number One

We were at Solmoto motocross track today. A number one track. Not for the reasons you might think.

The weather in Spain at this time of year is lovely. Clear blue skies and temperatures in the 20s. The land though is pretty barren. Scan the landscape and you'll see a dry, sandy, rocky terrain, with very little in the way of greenery. There might be the odd bush, but no lawns, hedges or trees. It's actually perfect for creating motocross tracks.
Usually cut out of the terrain in the middle of nowhere, not many motocross tracks have facilities, ie toilets. Yesterday's Circuito El Cossil didn't. And, whilst UK tracks might be surrounded by bushes, hedges and trees, Spanish tracks aren't. So there's nowhere to go for a wee.

At Circuito El Cossil, I found myself walking a long way to find a solitary prickly bush. One lady waited until everyone was at lunch before she braved the prickles.
It's fine for those riding, because they burn off fluid at a heck of a rate, and I don't think I've ever seen a motocross rider going to the loo.
So, back to today's Solmoto track. If you want to do a number one, Solmoto is the number one track because it has loos. Okay, the solitary cubicle in the gents was out of order (with a Spanish sign saying use the ladies), so number twos were out of the question, and although there was a sink, turning on the tap produced no water. But, not having to take a very obvious walk to a very obvious bush was extremely welcome.

Apparently tomorrow's track (colloquially known as the palm tree track) has even better facilities (including a shop!), so maybe that will be a number two track.
Not that Kate cared or cares. She was simply flying over the jumps and tearing round the track, burning off and getting rid of her fluids that way.
