I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

Okay, Kate Broadbent’s not a celebrity yet. But, she probably wanted to get out of the limelight at last night’s launch of Buckmore Park’s new ‘Paddock’ development. And that’s because she definitely got the bulk of the questions from motorsports commentator Alex Raby. Kate was one of two “aspiring drivers” being interviewed about their career to date, their thoughts on Buckmore's new development, and their feedback from Buckmore Park’s Driver Development Programme.

Kate did brilliantly though, and Alex kept on firing questions at Kate because Kate kept on firing back witty and engaging answers. I lost count of the number of times the audience laughed with her. And everyone there received a whistle-stop tour of Kate’s past, present, and future. We heard about engines in Aldi bags, tyre changing with bare hands, the slopes of Buckmore, and Kate had nothing but praise for the staff and facilities at Buckmore Park.

And her response regarding her future plans was miles above those Miss Universe “I want to fix the world” answers. Kate showed a level of maturity that was impressive for someone so young.

All of this is great for raising Kate’s profile. The room was full of heavyweight sponsors, and who knows, someone might just want to invest in that witty, smiling and engaging young girl.

Kate will be back at Buckmore Park on Tuesday with the BBC. Not for ‘I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!’, but for more questions about the ‘Paddock’ development, and for more exposure of course!
