In the 1982 movie, E.T., Elliott helps a stranded alien get home. Named E.T. by Elliott, the alien has telekinetic powers, and levitates Elliott and his bicycle into the air to escape pursuing police and military. The image of Elliott riding his bicycle in the air is extraordinary, and has become synonymous with the film.

Well, at the La Vareda motocross track today there were lots and lots of bikes flying through the air. Kate was on one of them. And, with the sun in the background, it could have been a scene from E.T..

It was a very technical track. Not a lot of places to go fast. Lots of twists and turns.

And loads and loads of jumps. One jump in particular, had been built right in front of the paddock area, and I'm sure it was there to create the E.T. photo opportunities.

Technical tracks are not everyone's cup of tea, but Kate loves them, and she was having a whale of a time doing her Elliott against the moon impression.

We're off to a Supercross track tomorrow. I'm not sure what it's going to be like. It will be our last track of the holiday, so I'm sure it will be out of this world.
